Visit of the Georgian Parliamentary Delegation to Bucharest

The Chairman of the Defence and Security Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Irakli Beraia (head of the delegation), the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Vladimir Chachibaia and the Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Foreign Affairs, David Zilpimiani took part in the Parliamentary Intelligence-Security Forum on July 6-8 held in Bucharest.

During the visit of the parliamentarians, the high-level meetings with Romanian officials were held: with the Prime Minister of Romania, H.E. Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă, State Secretary of the Ministry of National Defence, Simona Cojocaru, as well as with the chairpersons of Foreign Policy Committees of the Chamber of Deputies, Rozália-Ibolya Biró and the Senate, Mr. Titus Corlăţean and Chairperson of the Committee on Defence, Public Order and National Security of the Chamber of Deputies, Pavel Popescu. 

Within the framework of the working visit, a meeting was held at the E-ARC Euro-Atlantic Resilience Centre, where the President of the Center, Ovidiu Raețchi, introduced to the members of the Georgian delegation the performance specifications of the centre and its organizational structure. The parties agreed on future collaboration.
