Today, the photo exhibition "100 years since the Foundation of the Democratic Republic of Georgia" was inaugurated at the main building of the “Antim Ivireanul" Vâlcea County Library by the Embassy of Georgia to Romania in collaboration with the authorities of above mentioned entity.
At the opening ceremony, Director of the "Antim Ivireanul" Vâlcea County Library, Mr. Remus Grigorescu, Vice-President of the County, Mr. Adrian Bușu, Prefect of the Vâlcea County, Mr. Florian Marin, Vice-Mayor of the city, Mr. Eusebiu Vețeleanu and the Ambassador of Georgia to Romania, H.E. Nikoloz Nikolozishvili have addressed the audience.
The presenters emphasized the importance of the friendly relationships with Georgia and wished success to the Georgian nation on the path of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
On his behalf, the Ambassador of Georgia has spoken about the creation of the Democratic Republic of Georgia, its history and Georgia-Romanian relations during this period and congratulated the Romanian people with the 100th anniversary of the Great Union.
The exhibition featured photos from the lifetime of the Democratic Republic of Georgia which also reflected Georgian-Romanian relations at the beginning of the last century. Various cultural and scientific figures of the region attended the opening ceremony, as well as students from several educational institutions of the city.
After the exhibition opening act, at the public school N5, the Georgian Ambassador took part in the inauguration ceremony of the Center "St. Anthim Iverianul”.
